The BotB :wow:

Man. Back when wrestlers were fighting for their lives and a hot dog, versus a NXT contract and two chili dogs.

Used to love early CZW BOtB:banderas:. That tournament introduced me to some of my fav workers. Pretty underrated in it's impact.

The intro to BotB 3 will forever be goated :wow: the best of AJ Styles, Ruckus, Sonjay Dutt, etc. set to Linkin Park’s “Somewhere I Belong”??? like this sh!t is still hype

Back then I would’ve sworn on everything I loved Trent Acid and Ruckus had next :mjcry:

:rip: Chester Bennington, Jay Briscoe, Trent Acid, Jimmy Rave, Chri$ Ca$h

I know what I'm watching this weekend :wow:. Even though CZW always got the lmao for deserved reasonings, they really showed out during a time when wrestling fans need an ECW fix. Hell, even that promotion knew when to tone down on the ultraviolence unlike the Dub when it's just Tuesday :why:

BLKOUT>>>>>>Hurt Syndicate/Business :hubie: look I'm dying on the hill but my Philly humbreh Jeez, Joker, that short jawn, and Ruckus ran shyt.

Backseat Boyz created the modern tag sequencing. All that MCMG/Young Bucks constant bridging tag moves together was stolen from the BBz. They was cookin back then

CZW def restored the ECW feeling the most out of all the wannabe feds. Cage of Death always went crazy esp when New Jack debuted for their 1 million thumbtacks match :what: even liked their announcer duo with their catchphrases “EXCUSE ME!” (Vickie G we know you bit ) and “SOMEONE CAL 9-1-1!!!” :russ: the damn airhorns from the audience for crazy ass spots

BLKOUT :ohlawd: damn I forgot short guy’s OG name but I remember he changed it to BLK JEEZ. Also that white manager they ran with, Robbie Merino, dude was jokes. Joker was a beast, another guy I thought had next.

We need TSC watch parties back for events like these man. So many good memories, we focus too much on the bad :mjcry:

Man they will never get their proper dues but they were innovative af. Also crazy levels of heat from the audience, probably my favorite heel tag team during the indy boom. I remember they said Trent was the next HBK :to:

Man the sociopaths that came up with the cage of death needs them roses. Them shyts were like glorified Jigsaw traps. They had the fukking gall of having a trapped door leading into barbed wire and glass like :mindblown: WTFFFFF

NOW THATS SOME SICKO shyt :noah:

Speaking of dumb ass spots...RIP to dude but :mindblown:

Trent was cold. Alot of people molded themselves in his work style. He's most likely forgotten nowadays but he shouldn't be. Tag team wrestling in this country ain't what it is today without his contributions.

Correct me if I’m wrong, I could be completely misremembering, but weren’t Christian York and Joey Matthews (Mercury) doing a lot of that too before a lot of people? never really got the props they probably deserved since the other badstreet boys (Shane Helms and Shannon Moore) saw more success

Thats basically it.

After a while, once you see threes from the nosebleeds and a 1080p spin into a swan dive, you appreciate a axe handle and a superplex once a blue moon. Not everything has to be overly done just to pop a crowd, and if that's the case...that says alot for you as a wrestler :francis:

Agreed but the problem is also the audience of all promotions I think are now conditioned to only pop for high spots. I watch old clips of Bret v Perfect and think thats the sweet spot and some guys do it but the slow down and work on the ground stuff is hard to get appreciated by them now too.

All I know is there's not many wrestlers in the entire industry that are throwing their punches better than Angelo Dawkins.
:hubie:
Dawkins is super underrated.
I wish he'd switch up his ring gear, though. Breh dresses like that one guy who wears a full NBA uni just to hoop at LA Fitness.
:scust:
