We’re ignoring that the hurt syndicate and MJF angle is like one of if not thee premier angle in the company right now. Look at Punk, besides a mania night 1 main event he’s been in the undercard for almost the entirety of his WWE return and hasn’t touched a world title. His angles are still usually the premier angle of whatever show he’s on.
I don't know which Punk you're talking about, because when Punk went back to WWE, the rest of us saw him have two long-term feuds with Drew McIntyre & Seth Rollins, and main event ppvs with them well before WrestleMania.
The way I see it, being featured in a prime spot doesn’t always mean wrestling for the world title.
That's the way you see it, but a "prime spot" isn't clearly defined. Anybody who is on the Wednesday night show could said to he in a "prime spot", so I'll narrow down. Lashley shouldn't just have a "prime spot", he should be in a main event program.
That’s a very surface level way or viewing pro wrestling. When Lashley isn’t on tv and doing c level collision stuff, then yall can have the fake concern.
We don't have "fake concern". We're Black fans who want to see an accomplished Black wrestler do something other than be the landing pad for MJF's corny jokes each week.
But yall know this lol.. ya’ll just trying to match the complaints people had about his WWE run on some “ahaaa” gotcha shyt
I don't know who "y'all" is, so I can only speak for me, and I never mentioned anything about Lashley's WWE run (and I wouldn't, because Lashley's last WWE run wasn't good). I called him a dominant champion, which he also was in TNA. With all of the credentials that he (and Shelton Benjamin) posseses, Lashley should be doing something more significant than playing straight man to the unfunny guy who doesn't have half of his talent.

The fact that we don't have a Lashley/Mox feud, with Lashley being covered in Mox's blood due to hurt things just feels so money left on the table :francis:
Fantasy booking of course but I’d love for there to be a scenario where the Death Riders inadvertently cross the Hurt Syndicate, and MVP and em starts on some “Hold up…” :gucci: shyt. We were fine with yall doing your thing but somehow your ended up in our zone

DR thinking shyt sweet and from there HS really start putting the “hurt” on them en route to Lashley dethroning Mox for that belt :demonic:

Unless of course, MJF is booked to screw over Lashley in the big match and Moxley snakes by once again with the hostaged title belt. Of course. :beli:

Both WWE & AEW debuted NJPW talent

Jeff Cobb=Got a pop & Holy shyt chants

Gabe Kidd=No Reaction in CHICAGO of all places

:skip:
Doesn't help that Kidd spent his entire time shytting on AEW, only to be on AEW to be with Mox of all wrestlers :dead:

Cobb knows when to stfu and let the wrestling get the crowd ready for his debut.

On the Punk point, more often than not Punk hasn’t been the main event during this current run. Almost all of his matches including the ones with Drew, were the undercard to either Roman or Cody, and that’s fine. He was still clearly a focal point of the show and so was whatever he was involved in. Bobby Lashley and the hurt biz is a focal point of Dynamite every week. That is my point.

“Anyone who’s on Wednesday could say they’re in a prime spot” is simply not true.

What ends up lost in these conversations is how the talent feels. What happens is you guys end up downplaying what people are doing and what they actually mean to their respective shows to paint a narrative. I watched yall do it to Bianca during her tag run as well. I’m sure Bobby enjoys the run he’s on. Focal point of the show every week, usually gets the slot at the top of the hour, a champion in the most over faction in wrestling right now, and a feud with AEW’s current most popular act… but let yall tell it, he’s wasting away because he’s not fighting for the world title. Ask Lashley if he feels like what he’s doing is a waste, I’m sure he’d feel damn near disrespected

You're missing the entire point. I doubt that Lashley feels disrespected. He's close to retirement (he said he's quitting at 50 y.o.), he's probably getting a nice bag from the Khans and he only has to work 5 or 6 minutes most weeks. That's a pretty sweet deal.
My point is that as a huge fan of The Hurt Syndicate (S/O to the brehs), I'd like to see Lashley doing something significant before he hangs up his wrestling boots. Even at his big age, he's too good to be wasted in a dead tag team division. Also, I am also much more entertained by THS than Moxley, Edge, Miss Kenny, or any of the other mediocre yakubians who make up AEW's main event scene. As a result, my preference would be to see Lashley (and Shelton) get elevated to positions more fitting their credentials.

I agree with this, we both want the same for Bobby. I think the disconnect we’re having is the phrasing.

“I want Bobby to be world champion in AEW” is totally valid, but when the phrasing is “WHY ISNT Bobby world champion? What are they doing!!?” and people start pointing to his skin color, that’s when it becomes something else. It turns accusatory and implies he’s not only being pushed aside, but he’s also not doing anything worth noting which is really not the case lol
