Just finished watching the first episode of season 4. Tony is sitting on his couch eating ice cream and he is telling carm he worked his ass off to get the money she is so worried about. Does tony actually work hard? How many hours does he put in to provide for his family?

There was that one episode where he actually has a desk job, and all he does it fukk the coworker and spend the rest of the day being bored.

The wise guys in that show just put effort in their criminal activities but that’s about it. Vito got bored out of his mind and came back because he couldn’t stand a regular job

There's this old folktale about the "Sword of Damocles", I think if you gotta live with that you work pretty hard :yeshrug:

Good point! If you had to guess how many hours a day would you say tony works to provide for his family?

He also organized he office football pool :usure:.

You see the skill, dedication and persistence it took to measure the lines of the tracker with the ruler? Each row and column had to be perfectly aligned and in sync. That takes a lot of effort

To be fair Vito needed hip surgery, he wasn't cut out for physical labor. :dame:

In the 00s, I would say that's stupid.
Yeah, I think something the show was trying to illustrate though is the mob isn't like the Godfather at least not anymore. Even the bosses are at @ a lower level and closer to the street. Still, yeah if he wanted Tony still could remain out of any planned murders.

@jayshiggs how many hours a day do you think tony spent away from home?
8 to 12 hours a day on the week days. He left probably a couple hours after the kids and hung out @ Satriale's or the Bing all day. He seem to be home for dinner most of the time. But you know it all depends on what's poppin' in the street or if he is really into whoever his mistress is at the time, he came and went as he pleased especially if Carmella was happy/busy.
