One of my companies is upstate and another down south. There is clearly a prejudice system or mentality in the south where blacks are slow c00ns and whites/Mexicans are racists/bigots. The key to finding it, is to just listen and segregate yourself from the negatives without voicing an opinion and only associate yourself with the intelligent/socially aware people to invite into your circle.

To bash a race of people off of 1 story makes you just as bad as the alt right ppl and white nationalist.
