fat fingered iti remember hearing that a lot of mexicans did not like oscar because he acted white. but i know they looked at chavez like a god. maybe chavez set the bar so high that any little thing that a fighter does that they may not like causes them to not really support that fighter. i remember a mexican saying something like maurquez, barrera, and morales were b and even c level celebrities in mexico which shocked me because i thought they loved boxing there

For the most part why they didnt like oscar was beacause he beat chavez.... mexicans from mexico dont really care much for mexican american fighters.... also on why mexicans are not really in loved with canelo is that believe hes not that good, he gets love though... it has nothing to do with him looking white.. all that matters if he is mexiacn born and raised, skin color is not looked upon.
