I like this guy.

@murksiderock he from Syracuse/Raleigh kinda remind me of Roddy Rich

His music is actually okay. And he's a good look for the cities he from, I love Cuse and I don't love Rgh but I live here and it ain't the worst place I could be lol...

Only issue I have is the same shyt that always annoys me with most rappers, its the nagging annoyance I can never reconcile i think because of my journey. Won't make me never listen to his stuff, but at the end of this segment (last minute) he admits he never been in no real beef except some issues over girls:

He got mad videos and social media posts flicking with hammers and talking the same genocidal shyt in his raps. Its amazing to me that after all of the Kanyes and Drakes and Cole's and Kendricks dudes still out here doing the studio gangster shyt like its a necessity. Just bugs me out man, I know the game has been like that longer than lil homie been alive, its still annoying though...

South Coast/B$B is a good look for Carolina and its great how not only do they have a foot in the industry, they putting Carolina nikkas on and carving a lane. People down here are really proud of the shyt and on board with the movement. Blacc Zacc the most legitimate dude they got, though, rest of these dudes are putting on big extras....

Lmao they whole label is sideline nikkas besides Blacc Zacc, he the only one from down here with a verified resume off the field. Maybe some of they lower artists but out of the more well-known ones, they all sideline dudes....more than anything South Coast has managed to find these really talented, slightly street dudes to blow up the label's credibility...

I'm human so I do still listen to older music from periods of my life that still resonate with me, that talk about the same destructive shyt. I listen to it less often than I did in years past, but I still play nostalgic shyt time to time...

I've largely grown from present-era rap though and besides maybe giving a listen to someone I keep hearing about (like this dude), I don't support the messaging that the majority of hip hop puts out...

Its bad enough that we don't have gatekeepers fighting to change the status quo, because these white rappers are eating without talking about mass genocide and promoting blatant criminality. But its hard not to be annoyed when you really walk thru the journey and you have a bunch of guys who aren't from it perpetuating the lifestyle. I get its entertainment to some, I guess it just isn't entertainment to me anymore...

Shout out to SCMG for the talent they putting on in Carolina though. Toosii is talented as are most of these people they got signed...

Somebody mentioned dude to me yesterday so I watched a little more of his interview and at 1:35 or so he further confirms he not a street dude which actually makes me like him more lol. Says the guns and shyt are for show...

I told dudes a few years ago if all these rappers who flick with the hammers or rap about drugs really were like that, the murder rate in America would be at 80s or 90s level. Most these dudes just flicking cause they can, they were not out here burning hammers out or making real money outside....

Shout out to Toosii, at 20 he knows the thug imagery sells and feeds that. Dude is pretty bright if you watch his interviews, now all these upcoming Dave East's, DaBaby's, Mozzy's, need to be real with themselves too and redirect the content...

Nah I shoulda rephrased it, thats my bad...

I'm not saluting selling thug imagery to youth and wayward folk who can't tell the difference. Saluting that he knows who he is and what he aint, and feeding the vehicle thats gonna feed him...

Thats what I was saying but its not something I personally agree with. If I owned a label or curated artists I feel like talent wins out, and I could sell people off talent rather than dressed up images. There's more than one way to entertain and I don't believe I have to sell being a gangsta to entertain muhfukkas...

But I said it before, South Coast and Arnold Taylor came up off portraying all their people as super gangstas. Which isn't unheard of in hip hop by a long shot, and it worked to where they gave Carolina a foot in the industry they didn't have prior. And I dont know about Rich Dunk or the lower tier artists with B$B, but for sure outta their big artists Baby, Stunna, Toosii, all them dudes are pump fakers, and everybody know it. But it works for them...
