I haven't been on the board as much recently, so I haven't seen one of these. Might as well put this up. It will help people seek out music too since there is so much stuff out there nowadays

I haven't heard Old and Get Home Safely. Also haven't heard trials and tribulations, ppl were saying that was pretty decent. The top 4 have got the most play so far this year. I just got that prodigy x alchemist joint but the reviews were excellent and based of two listens, it's Alc's best project in years, not to mention prodigy....


This all based on my own taste of course, not so much on reviews, sales etc.

it's been a pretty shytty year musically. i've been disappointed by pretty much every release i can think of besides albert einstein, which actually surprised me.

can't do ten albums, can't even do five yet.

Oh ya I need to hear the gifted as well. Rap has so much stuff coming out nowadays that it's hard for projects to stand out. And even if they do, we don't have the time to gauge that because the next "big thing" comes out and it's on to the next one.. Before we really give most albums enough spins to properly assess them. Or if we are concentrating only on a few big name releases , than we are missing all those great sleepers people talk about. I mean it's one thing if you don't give a fukk what's going on in hip hop and you just to whatever sounds good, that you come across. Bit a fan of me I like to losten to EVERYTHING.

That's about it for the albums I really liked off the top of my head. For me I don't think anything is going to top Woodkids Golden Age(one of the best records I have heard the last 10 years, no lie). But we will see when Arcade Fire's Reflektor drops later this month. From what I heard so far, It might only top Born Sinner..

its been the year of the disappoint imo.

most of the high profile releases disappointed in one way or another.

theres been a lot of GOOD mixtapes, but nothing i'd probably ever play again or think of when i remember the year 2013 in the future.

I really liked krit, born sinner and the dom kennedy is getting bump from me at the moment. but this year hasnt had anything truly phenomenal that i'll play years from now
