Ive been seeing a bunch of who's better WR threads. Lets skip the bullshyt and make an updated top 10 list as of Week 16. This thread is for the top 10 WRs going forward. All the greats that are past their prime need not apply (Steve Smith I'm looking at you). TE like Graham and Gronk DO NOT COUNT.

Skills + stats + future potential count.

List is in NO order. Just a current top 10.

Calvin Johnson (DET)
AJ Green (CIN)
Dez (DAL)
AB (PIT)
D. Thomas (DEN)
ODB (NYG)
Nelson (GB)
Julio (ATL)

So I got 8 that I think everyone would agree with. What two players round out the top 10?

Gordon, Watkins, Cobb, Sanders, Hilton, Tate, Maclin, Hopkins, Andre, Edelman, Welker, DeSean Jackson, Benjamin, Jeffery, Evans, V Jax, Boldin, Wallace, Cruz, Floyd.

Fitz is out for me. He's still got the skills but his situation has no improved so his future potential is limited.
B. Marsh is out for me. He's still a stud player but I don't think he's got too many years left.

I'm taking Hopkins and Evans for my last two. Who you got?

Edit: Added Josh Gordon to the list. He really is the 9 spot so only 1 spot unaccounted for.

If we are talking "going forward", then I am taking Amari Cooper. He is on the AJ/Julio level.

Julio
AJ
Dez
Antonio Brown
Demaryius Thomas
TY Hilton
ODB Jr
Sammy Watkins
Amari Cooper
Mike Evans

Haven't heard of him. Whats he bringing to the league next year?
WR at ASU. Brings size, speed, hands, & can make tough catches. Reminds me of Andre Johnson.

EDIT: Also Mac will round out that top 10. Give dude just a little better QB play then he has had this year & he would be top 5. Dude is already top 10.

some of these recievers are only producing big numbers from the quarterbacks they have.

Watkins, Cobb, Sanders, Hilton, Tate, Maclin, Hopkins, Andre, Edelman, Welker, DeSean Jackson, Benjamin, Jeffery, Evans, V Jax, Boldin, Wallace, Cruz, Floyd.

Fitz is out for me. He's still got the skills but his situation has no improved so his future potential is limited.

Not a bad list friend.

I think those 8 are pretty safe bets.

Going forward...Id probably add Hilton (stable QB position for a long time)...then it comes down to Maclin/Cobb/Sanders/Evans/Jeffery to me. (not counting current collegiates)

Not sold yet on Watkins. Tate is very good but doesnt crack top 10. Hopkins could be in the conversation but needs to show consistency. He's been with awful QBs but has also shown to have huge games. Andre is regressing and has been for a while. Edelman is merely a slot possession guy with limited big play potential. Welker regressed and will retire in the next 2 seasons from concussions. Jackson clearly has the skills but is fairly injury prone. Boldin is very good but if Steve Smith is considered past his prime then so is he. I dont think Wallace is all that special..nor do I think Cruz or Floyd is. Cruz has made a ton of big plays but is in the DeSean category to me. Kinda wild-cards.

Maclin has had a career year with so-so quarterbacking. Good hands and big play potential. Chip's system helps but it seems like Chip is gonna be there a while so I dont see that as a reason to rule him out. Cobb is somewhat similar to Maclin..but with Rodgers at QB. Sanders has been playing the Welker/Edelman type role but he breaks far more bigger plays and is faster than both. We'll see how his career pans out if Denver loses some weapons and when Peyton retires though. I don't think he has top 10 physical skills but he is a great route runner. Evans has been a beast on a shyt team with a shyt set of QB's. Jeffery has the stats, potential, skills and frame but he's consistently nicked up too.

To me, that narrows it down to Maclin, Cobb and Jeffery.

Maclin is 26 years old, 6'0 and runs a 4.45 forty. Plays bigger than 6'0 though IMO. Jeffery is 24, 6'3 and ran a 4.48 forty. Injuries may slow him down a bit. Cobb is 24 years old and runs a 4.46. Only 5'10 but is pretty good in traffic and on jump balls. Very consistent in short and intermediate routes and can bust a big play.

With Cobb at 24, his stats and skills, relative health and Rodgers as his QB..he makes my top 10..just edging out Jeffery and Maclin.

In order:
Megatron
Dez
ODB
AB
Julio
DT
AJ Green
Nelson
Hilton
Cobb

EDIT: Damnit I forgot Gordon too. I blame u @Ill
