Offseason is pretty much over so I decided to name the offseason winners and losers. Tried to narrow it down to 5 each.
Winners.
1. Houston- Harden locked in.Traded for Paul. Regardless of the Anthony situation, this off season is a win
2. Timberwolves- Got rid of Rubio. Got Teague, Butler and Gibson. Drafted Patton. Great offseason
3 Warriors- how do you win the ship and still have one of the best drafts?? To get Jordan Bell, then Iggy and Livingston resigns. Durant takes a discount. Nick young too?
4. Thunder- got Paul George and didn't give up anyone.
5. This last one was tough between Boston, Philly and the Lake show. Celtics lost Bradley which is huge and Sixers need to be healthy. Going with the Lakers. Lonzo is showing out and they got rid of Mozgov's contract. Signed KCP to a 1 year deal. There's a plan in place with the new regime. What's not to like?
Losers
1. Knicks- Carmelo situation unresolved. Didn't draft Dennis Smith. 71 Million for Tim hardaway jr? Just no direction.
2. Pacers- lost Paul George for absolutely nothing.
3. Bulls- Dwyane Wade opted in, lost Butler for nothing. Nuff said
4. Spurs- yes they're the Spurs. but I can't let em off the hook. They didn't address the point guard situation. Lost out on Paul and Lowry. Lamarcus is a question mark. You lost Jonathan Simmons. They might be able to save face with Derrick White. But for now, i have to call this a losing offseason
5. Tie between Cavs and Jazz. Listen you lose a Gordan Hayward, you can't replace that. With the Cavs, they have done nothing to improve. On top of that, Richard Jefferson comes back, and you sign Carlos Arroyo??
