she should pay a tax for all that cultural intellectual property she's borrowing for her paid routines.:unimpressed:

if choreography is a profession then dance routines are intellectual property.

TYPES OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
In most countries, there are four primary types of intellectual property (IP) that can be legally protected: patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets

Intellectual property refers to creations of the mind: inventions; literary and artistic works; and symbols, names and images used in commerce. Intellectual property is divided into two categories: Industrial Property includes patents for inventions, trademarks, industrial designs and geographical indications.

CANYOU COPYRIGHT A DANCE?
No, you cannot copyright dance steps or movement on their own, but since 1976 in the US you can copyright a choreography. In order to receive a copyright, the work MUST be recorded in PHYSICAL form.

START RECORDING AND FILING PAPERWORK FOR YOUR CREATIVE ROUTINES BEFORE YOU DROP THEM IN VIDEOS. Charge these outsiders a tax when you see them pop up in theirs.

If that’s the case why Fortnight paid anyone for the dances they stole to put on the game?

You have to file. Record your dance in a routine then file copyright. This is proof of your invention with evidence and date in case of dispute.

Most people make a routine and share it then it might go viral and end up in places like the game where it is packaged in a product and in essence monetized. Brehs are not thinking about business when they making those dance moves just having fun but if you gonna put it out there and let it catch on and all that then It's time to start filling BEFORE. It doesn't take more than that.. Now they have to prove that it was their invention with no copyright and that it's a choreographed routine not just a "dance". legalese jargon and semantics won't defeat brehs let's get it.

tell the vultures in 2020 that the plates ain't shared no more pay up.
