These lists seem to come out every year, but the NCAA’s “High Five” video segment took a shot at ranking the NCAA’s five loudest stadiums. LSU’s Tiger Stadium, otherwise known as Death Valley, came in at number one. The full top five was:

No. 5: Lane Stadium, Virginia Tech

No. 4: Camp Randall Stadium, Wisconsin

No. 3: Kyle Field, Texas A&M

No. 2: Autzen Stadium, Oregon [i can personally attest that this is NOT as loud as some would think...]

No. 1: Tiger Stadium, LSU

It’s hard to argue with the five as presented, although Ohio Stadium at ohio (the Whoreshoe), Bryant-Denny Stadium at Alabama, Sanford Stadium at Georgia, Williams-Brice Stadium at South Carolina :usure:, Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor (the Big House :banderas: ) and Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at Florida (the Swamp) all get pretty deafening in big games too. The trouble with making these sorts of lists is how do you rank noise? Is it an average of the loudest moments from every game, the highest decibel level reached during a season or just an arbitrary feeling?

Did the NCAA get it right, or did it completely miss the mark?"

What is the loudest college stadium you've ever been to?

Williams-Brice gets crazy loud. Part of the stadium where the folks stand up starts swaying... :wow:

As much as I'm a homer, The Shoe can be quiet at times. When's its loud its top 5 but its way too inconsistent

Of course the ATL
Sanford stadium can get loud & seats 90,000, but it doesn't get top 5 in the nation loud IMO. :manny:

Last time I was at a game was a few years ago vs. ULL and the crowd was snooze worthy. Good crowd generally, but not the loudest

i'm not sayin it's top 5 or anything but that ol place held a LOT of folks and back in the 80's/early 90's when they were winning rose bowls and a national championship that place went ham pretty tough.
it may not be the loudest or wtf ever but to say it's not loud at all is silly imo.
