"Torna: The Golden Country" (Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC) Official Thread

It comes out September 14th if you have the Expansion Pass, and the 21st if you don't. Figured this needed an official thread because it's supposed to be the length of a regular game.

It's a prequel to the events in "Xenoblade Chronicles" 2" that follows the events of the Aegis War.





Also they just announced that everyone that owns "XC2" will get the following on the release date of the expansion:

All Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Players Will Receive In-Game Freebies To Celebrate The New DLC

– Legendary Core Crystal x15
– Char-Grilled Grumbirds x3
– Crispy Blendshake x3
– Clicky-Clacks x3

So was the first iteration as good as people say? I mean I thought it looked ok and didn't think it was going to be as good as the first Chronicles. It seems though everyone praises the 2nd one. Honestly I've been stuck on Zelda BOTW and havent played any other switch game since I copped it for my bday this past March. Only other game I have is Mario Odyssey and that is still in plastic wrap

There's no way it's going to be as long as the base game but it should be as long as a full length game....they are releasing it on a physical disc as well as download.

The fact that they changed the art style from the 1st one turned me off from it. What makes it so good?

I will be completely honest with you, I wasn't a fan of the art style either.

But the story is dope as fukk. And the combat system is one of the deepest I've ever played in any game. It's so deep you probably won't really get the hang of it until around half way through the game.

And this is the first game I've ever played where they continue to add new things for the entire game. There's new game play elements from the first to the last chapter.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like the game reinvents the wheel but it takes a lot of elements that are chores in other RPGs (EXP grinding, quests, farming, etc.) and makes them fun. You should check it out, if you don't like it, Neg me.

I'll check it out. I really don't like that they changed the art style from the first one. I loved that art style, as it reminded me of early Final fantasy games. I just love that final fantasy tactics/tactics advance art work and I wish more games would use it. Seems like they went for a more Asian look this time.

There's rumors (can't say much, it would be spoilers for "XC2") they're porting "XC1" and XCX" to the Switch so I think that art style was just an experiment for "XC2".

Really want Chronicles X for the switch .Bought it for Wii U and never played and then traded it in, along with my Wii U and my other wii U games, because I thought all of those games would get ports anyway.

Yeah, the art style seems to only be for this game. I don't think they'll use it going forward.

I played a bit at my brothers house and I’m copping a switch because of it.


Question for you Hex, is Divinity 2 really that good? I love games like that so any feed back is much appreciated
