Stackhouse took a job with the Grizzlies over the weekend he knew he didn’t get the job
Yep, he's the head assistant there. if they fire another coach, he can just swoop right in and take the job
Stack's coaching career has moved quick. He went from coaching AAU to coaching a team to a G-League championship to NBA head assistant in 4 years. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a head coach in a year or two.
Masai
He's won two D-League championships and two championships as a player-coach in Britain. We'll see where this goes. I remember hearing about him years ago. When he coached the Rockets' D-League team, his teams never shot from the mid-range. They played fast and shot a ton of threes.
We'll see where this goes, but there has to be a reason Messina has been interviewing with NBA teams for years and hasn't landed a job. I would've been fine with Sarunas too, but he basically has the same years of experience as Stack. This is like his 3rd year as a coach.
