I thought the Jays were still the better team tonight despite poor hitting at the plate and not scoring many runs. Yamamoto shut down our batters. Maybe If they had Different, more effective and smarter defensive positioning on the field, they could’ve perhaps saved a couple runs vs Mookie Betts in the 3rd inning. As for the pitchers, Gausman was lights out as were Varland, Dominguez and Bassitt. But it was all for naught at the end anyway
Now it’s a coin flip. No room for simple mistakes like there was tonight. A lucky bounce here or there can now decide it too.
And you’ve given Betts Freeman Teo and Ohtani another chance to be a difference maker.
Scherzer you just hope still has it. Dodgers will cobble together something with Ohtani and Glasnow and who knows who else.
Jays will need probably 4 runs and they can manufacture it out of nowhere but getting the lead would be ideal.
All that said I kind of sense a blowout by one team. Hope it’s the right one(my Blue Jays)
