Wreaked my car being stupid :snoop:

I am looking for a car in the 15 to 20k range. 2014 or newer.

I am not sure if i should go with a newer Camry (2017) or get a 2014/15 Lexus/Acura. I don't know much about buying cars, never bought one from a dealer before.

Would it be better to wait until the end of the year to buy a car? I have read that you can get better deals then, but I would have to fix up a older car to drive in the meantime. Would cost me around 400 to fix.

Camry or Avalon will get you right, check craigslist and kbb/edmunds/cars.com for some pricing negotiation tips.

Once you pick a car try to join a forum like toyotanation they have some great threads on maintainance, pricing, accessories, etc. (Keep it strictly cars though some :mjpls: vibes in the "other" sections)

Lexus seems like it would be pricier to maintain :yeshrug:
Hears those Acuras keep you in the shop; seems like they finally turning the company around :ehh:

I'd look at like 2016 maxima, 2015 acura TLX, infiniti q50 around that price range. You shouldn't buy a car that's almost or already a decade old. You would be right at the perfect depreciation curve and will lose minimal of value with there updated style.

I feel you already missed the opportunity for depreciation curve for a LS460, it's too old for today standard

I wouldn't bother buying an Accord when you can easily get the other 3 options I listed for the same price.
In order of reliability would be the Acura > Maxima > Infiniti

Edit*
Current examples around me:

Used Nissan Maxima For Sale - CarGurus

Used INFINITI Q50 For Sale - CarGurus

Used Acura TLX For Sale - CarGurus

Hyundai Elantra. A well equipped 2016-17 can be had at your price point. If you wait till the end of the year, you can cop a 2018 with some end year deals. The korean cars have been stepping up their game lately with their new offerings.

Do year end deals happen for all years...like if I was trying to get a 2015 lexus it would be cheaper (enough that its worth the wait) at year end vs buying it right now?

About how much cheaper would they be? Right now they around 20 to 22k according to cargurus.com. I like the GS model too but they are quite a bit more expensive.

fukk a car get you a light duty truck i.e. F-150, Ram 1500 or Silverado. They hold their value way better than cars do (article) and you have more available interior space and storage volume.
