Dunno but Rolling Stone did a big article on her getting roped into a cult or something. She was dating one of the Marley sons and got involved with a religious leader.

I’m not gonna knock someone for not making catchy mainstream music every couple years, which is what labels want. But her fall off felt more like a bad person burning bridges until there was nothing left. People try to argue “the system/machine/etc” ruined her career but nah, I think it was her decisions and how she treats people.

The sad part is, she never recovered, as you said. Seems she just got crazier and more bitter. Almost as if she didn't put herself in that position. She blamed others. It's greed and not being able to humble yourself and handle what comes along with the fame and accolades. She really f*cked it all up. And got exposed.

I heard about the cult shyt in the video cause Toure broke it down but she squandered so much. Like I said I think the chemistry and talent around her is what made miseducation but her ego was so big she wanted all the credit like she was the only one making the music.
