Told ya… Vegas is losing tourists. It was empty when I was there.

@Cherelynn
It's not fun anymore

@JoJoFromJerz
Hey but at least they don’t have to pay tax on the tips they aren’t getting anymore.

@Rob_ThaBuilder
Vegas is actually used as a reasonably reliable leading indicator of upcoming economic shifts.
This is bad news.

@RobynEvansinCal
I’m in Northern NV this week visiting family. You could throw a bomb through downtown & you wouldn’t hit anyone. It’s crazy. I’ve never seen it so empty in the Summer.

Vegas is lame

@vote_fukkers
How's "no tax on tips" working out?
10/37
@Apheleia9
At the point where a $99 a night room exists....the end-price is $179 with fees/taxes included. It's cheaper to fly to Turkey/Greece/Spain and spend a week at some beach resort there.
11/37
@BourbonBitcoin
$8 for a bottle of water doesn't help their cause. Vegas is a shell of what it once was. I won't ever go back there again. Too many nicer places to gamble now if you are into that.

@PetraEhler
Car repossession are at the highest rate since the great depression

@JoeySalads
The Casino industry ruined tourism.
High limits, poor comps, expensive venders.
Local casinos are experiencing all time highs. See RRR stock.
14/37
@digijordan
No one uses Vegas as a barometer for the rest of the US.
15/37
@smirking_bytch
Everyone can gamble online.

@ChrisSchul3840
Looks like a wnba game. That explains it

Was just out there with my wife. Hotels-$50-75 a night, Restaurants- reservations anywhere we wanted, casinos- small min bets everywhere and empty floors.
We had a blast but everyone we spoke to said it was a ghost town. Many talked of leaving for greener pastures.

@fjohnson212
It doesn’t have the attraction to the younger gen that it did previously. It’s become out of fashion
22/37
@2sunsky
But hey, no taxes… on zero tips!

@LjevakovicAlan
Vegas is the real look of the economy

@ivanpckr
Alex I WAS POSTING this months ago and have been every day since .It’s not just tourism our private sector jobs like construction etc are down bad .We are one of the fastest growing cities in the nation but has slowed down significantly.Tariffs have KILLED our ordering for home building .So it’s all of Vegas in ALL ASPECTS
25/37
@DSA_Mining
It's because international legal visitors don't want to be harassed by ICE.

@ArestadStuart
Thanks Donald.... : (

@getparlerapp
Vegas priced themselves out of business. It started ten years ago when every hotel started to charge for parking. Rooms got too expensive as well as shows and food.

@TeahCartel
They voted for him.

@Hapnotes
If you want to find the people who used to spend their money in Vegas, just look at Nashville. Sounds odd but Nashville's ascendency has coincided with Las Vegas's fall.
30/37
@DRtheSETTA
It’s extremely bad right now
31/37
@Liathetrader
not only Vegas. I drove across 14 states in July and most places were empty.
32/37
@realDan203
I went there in February and it is so f*cking expensive! The hotel was cheap, but everything else was outrageous. A basic breakfast in the casino cafe was over $100 for 3 people. We're talking eggs and coffee here.

@hvo_e_acc
it’s the promised maga golden showers age

@whonoeswhat
Maybe Vegas is over built? Did that ever occur to you? Prices have gone up so much.,
Less people can afford it.
35/37
@lowcopatriot
Crisis of greed and poor leadership. Maybe stop greasing everyone for every dime. I loved Vegas in the 90’s & early 00’s . Now it feels like a dangerous overpriced theme park.
36/37
@PabloCharlie83
I was there there for the 4th of July and it was the most packed I’ve seen.
37/37
@FundingGym
Service and attitude from workers has been in the dumps for a decade.
Trashy, price gouging in everything…
Vegas squeezes visitors on every turn.
