Tbh I don't care that much

This tow may have been justified but I'm sure these cacs have towed plenty other people for BS reasons, parking at someone's apartment who were in the visitors spot etc.. I can almost guarantee that in the past this tow truck driver became an unexpected financial burden on lower middle class/poor people who were probably already living check to check. You didn't think to quit your job then cuz the checks were good ha -juvenile voice

I hate tow drivers, I wont wish death on them but dont care. I been towed for BS reasons a couple times and they dont care once they got your car. The one time I tried to call them for someone parking in my spot that I pay $40 for every month they said I needed management approval and it was 2am, management ain't here.

That's a rough ass job, doing vehicle repos.

My cousin does that shyt, mainly overnight, and they do two man teams. Both of them nikkas CCW and keep a .40 on them..the company has no problems with it. They have had nikkas sit on the cars while they were towing, folks bust out windows and slash tires and of course, pull guns. Good pay but fukk all that drama.

Whether your job is legal or not, if you make money off other people's misery karma will come back to get you eventually.

Now that I am grown I tell myself, if you NEED a gun to go some, just don't go.
The fact that they feel they need a gun to do their job, and they're not police or security, tells you enough.

.

They aint making money off misery. That's their job. If you don't pay your light bill or water bill or gas bill or phone bill, you think the company is happy about disconnecting service? You think landlords like to evict people?

At the end of the day it is what it is. I've have my shyt towed cause my tags were expired and I parked on the street. It was my fault :manny: I've never leased a car and had to have it towed for nonpayment but if you can't work something out with the company that owns the car you're leasing/renting....thats on you.

Most places will work shyt out with you, if you talk to them, Payment plans and shyt. When you refuse to communicate there is consequences. Nobody is happy about it but it has to happen.

Tow truck driver killed while repossessing car in Lake Dallas

A tow truck driver killed on the job in Denton County is being remembered as a man who was dedicated to his work, his family and the community.

LAKE DALLAS, Texas - A tow truck driver killed on the job in Denton County is being remembered as a man who was dedicated to his work, his family and the community.

Zach Johnson was shot and killed in Lake Dallas Monday morning while repossessing a car. Police were at a gas station nearby and ran to the scene the moment they heard gunshots. It was too late.

Police say Johnson was shot and killed while trying to repossess a 2003 Silver Nissan at the Best Western off of Swisher Road in Lake Dallas on Monday.

Lake Dallas police say Barry DeGeorge, who was staying at the Best Western, fired 12 to 13 shots from the third story window of his hotel room because he believed his car was being stolen.

Lee Kennedy, who sent Johnson on the call to repossess the car, says he was following Johnson and Johnson's partner with GPS tracking. Then, he got a call from them.

“He pulled up and I noticed they were stopped for a minute,” Kennedy recalled. “Then my phone started ringing. And when my phone started ringing, I knew something wasn’t right.”

Kennedy says he was hearing DeGeorge screaming from the hotel window when Johnson told him why he was there.

“He kept telling them it was an order for repossession, and I started hearing gunshots,” Kennedy recalled. “They were screaming for help and wanted me to get there, and I couldn’t. I was trying.”

Lake Dallas police say Johnson, who was once a volunteer firefighter, was hit while driving the tow truck and ran into a few parked cars before taking his last breath.

Texas Auto Towing Owner Joe Baker says he's thinking about closing his business after what happened.

“It’s an emotional rollercoaster for everybody,” he said. “I’ve been doing this a long time. And like I said, I’ve never buried nobody and I don’t want it to do it again.”

Lake Dallas PD says the repossession notice was valid. DeGeorge was arrested at the hotel.

In the past, DeGeorge has been convicted of assault and evading arrest. He’s now charged with murder.

I'm more so talking about nikkas that tow people at apartments or even in your situation, expired tags parked in public places.

The difference between that and eviction, you sign a contract with the person who is actually evicting you.

I've seen with my own eyes tow truck drivers circle around apartment complexes looking for any reason to tow someone. Parked a little too crooked and your car is on the line? $300 tow. Nvm these are low income apartments so that person who's care you just towed because they were parked a little crooked is probably just getting by.

Lol "it's their job". nikka fucc them.

My tabs were barely expired in my apartment complex and my car parked in the spot that I pay for every month and they left some glued on sticker to my window saying they was towing it that night. Thankfully I worked that night and the tabs were already in my apartment I just forgot to put them on. Called the office and explained to them the situation and they wrote it off but that sticker fukked up my window :pacspit:
