If you say you have none, you're lying

Wayne's work ethic is self-explanatory. Wale's work ethic I'll explain briefly

Wale coming up had a mantra: No Days Off

Even before he dropped his Ambition album. He would always say "no days off" on freestyles

This set in my mind and made me push through everything since high school (silver lining). Played through injuries in sports at school, worked while sick with serious illnesses, and worked 70 hour weeks

No days off. Overworking past exhaustion in the common man's real world. It's overrated brehs
:francis:

If you are blessed enough to not have to work OVER OVER overtime while dealing with real life shyt, don't do it

Your health comes first

How I used to view/treat women

How I used to think I had to be/live

Things I used to think mattered like crazy that don’t really mean shyt

The Wants that I had that were really stupid/pointless

Overly cussing, lol. A lot of that comes from the movies too tho, can’t put it all on rap.

Etc…

Madd bad toxic ish. Couple good things I picked up from a couple good men (Nas, Ras Kass, Chuck D, Rakim, etc…) but overall yeah, toxic toxic toxic.

Every song that ever mentioned dying/going to jail for respect.

:dahell:

I lived by that shyt for so long, even took a charge because I didn't want to "snitch". Beat it in court but man I wouldn't have been able to sign up in 2014 if they decided to keep my stupid ass locked up for tryna be down.

The majority of rap really is poison, we just love it too much to stop digesting the bullshyt:manny:if all you listen to is Lupe and Black Thought this obviously doesn't apply to you, but 95% of mainstream hip-hop will kill you.

bonus, diss track I made in 2014 to some Internet nikka. That's how lost I was. I wanted to be in the streets AND graduate from college. Trying to serve two masters will have you looking the fool every damn time. Embarrassing.

Listening to Lupe in 2012 is why my first car will be a Camry

my college simp phase :snoop:
Me too
:mjcry:

This would've been me regardless of musical influence
:mjcry:

Told her my name, I swore our conversation was like magic
Now we dancing to some classic shyt
Should I grab that ass, Damon don't be so passive
Had her laughing, we exchanged digits
I met my wife, I wonder if she had that same vision
Well let's see, that next morning had to text her
I told her she got me under

"Sorry I don't remember who you are and lose my number"

:mjcry: :mjcry:
