Toyota actually loses money for every LFA they sell. So did Bugatti with the 1st car.

Yeah but it was all for development. The technology they designed for the LFA was for the future commercial models tech to be based off of. The LFA was just the package of all that R&D. All the design cues from the current gen Lexus' came from LFA R&D. A few automakers have done this with cars in the past.Toyota actually loses money for every LFA they sell. I believe the Ferrari FXX was a catalyst. Tech used on it was subsequently used in the LaFerrari, Ferrari FF and F12 Berlinetta production cars.Makes sense, the LFA was a representation of their investment in R&D. Mind sharing what some of the other examples are? Kind of a tough thing to google.
