On the episode of drink champs with Steve Stoute, Tone from the Trackmasters stated they were better than the hitmen (Badboy’s in-house production crew assembled by Diddy).

This was after the story that puff took credit for producing juicy and one more chance.

Now it may be unfair to puta crew of legendary producers of 15 guys vs 2 like the hitmen who were like an orchestra and a sound to a generation with Puff being the orchestrator and conductor.

But since Tone made the statement there has to be a debate on it.

Trackmasters were more impressive because they were a two man unit, Hitmen had a wide ensemble of members with some being better than others within the group :francis:

They had the better rap and r&b beats

Plus they produced these:myman:

You're acting like that's a bogus statement. The Hitmen were a large part of:

Mary- My Life

Faith- self titled

Biggie- Life After Death

Mase- Harlem World

Puff- No Way Out

Jay Z- American Gangster

Jay Z- Vol. 1 (some of the best and yeah some of the worst of his career, but the best is classic)

Trackmasters production sounded so clean and crisp. It was like every element of the sounds was perfect on each beat they made.

:mindblown:

I’m still trying to figure out how they sampled so damn good.

Filters and adding live instruments on top of the samples.

You can hear that was part of it but it was more than just that. Tone did a interview and said he would tell how they did it but he didn’t want to water down their sound by every producer all of a sudden using their techniques.

Breh is making it seem like Trackmasters are minced meat though.
