Worked well enough for AI that he could lead such a team to the finals and stole a game off what was going to be the only team in NBA history to sweep an entire postseason. That's infinitely more than Westbrook has ever accomplished on his own. And if it doesn't "work", what's the alternative; surround your guard with 2 perennial all-stars and hope he learns to play a completely different way than he has been his entire life as he's about to turn 30 like OKC has with Russ??? All that's going to accomplish is a second consecutive 1st round exit from the looks of things.
When you're fortunate enough to draft a superstar generational talent you build around the player and their needs/strengths as a player, not by whatever dated geriatric opinion of what their position is supposed to do.

RWB if he keeps up this pace will easily be a top 25 player when all said and done. but he will only be looked as an individual talent. you can win with him but he HAS to change his game and modify it somewhat. he has to sacrifice. his usage is too much and his decision making isnt reliable. he really needs another good true PG beside him. him and PG wont be able to pull another hero mode act like they did the other night.
