I got bashed relentlessly for saying nobody will ever win anything with him as their lead guard, and I still stand by that

He's pretty legitimately the worst defender to ever get big time minutes on the perimeter in the NBA

It's not even that he's just terrible, but that he's physically incapable of playing defense. It goes beyond just hiding him to the point that they have to set their whole defense around the idea of never letting him defend in a one on one situation

Other guys have to guard players and positions they never would if it wasn't for him, the whole defense has to scramble and switch everytime his man gets the ball. Its absurd

To be honest it’s hard to win in general if your best player is a guard under 6’5
