They have adapted, he’s just explaining the facts. This is not only true for the players, the fans interest too. Some people don’t even check in until after the SB.
That’s why the MVP title should be extended to include the playoffs imo. Probably why they added the play in thing too

He's an inefficient as a scorer, especially in crunch time, and even though his overall offensive game is still a net positive, it's not transcendent enough to make up for his bad defense

But every game is equally important when you half ass it and lose against easy-win opponents early on, and are out of the playoffs or get an unfavorable seed because of 1-3 games.
Not if your end game is to win. It’s hard to estimate but imagine that you get 1st seed with a tired and half-injured team vs a “8th seed” with a team in perfect condition, and both teams are virtually equal in terms of quality.
That’s why everyone is trying to do the least to get to the playoffs. Because at the end of the day, nobody remembers true first seed or any seed. Back in the days it was usually the best team, but nowadays it’s not.

I disagree with alot of this, but I think its a fair take
I honestly think his optimum role would be as a 6th man. He's just too limited to play big minutes IMO, but as a 6th man he could be a destructive force that doesnt take as much off the table as he does playing 35 mins a night
