I love trains whether it be local rail or something more national/ long distance.
I regularly take Amtrak when I go up to Sacramento or down to Santa Barbara.
I've been on subways all around the world as well as bullet trains. From Eurostar between London & Paris, to Frecciabianca in Italy to even the Shinkansen in Japan. I've even taken -still currently the fastest operating passenger train in Shanghai- the Shanghai Maglev.

America's infrastructure is truly crumbling..you can see it in the general rail network and trains are ancient.

They also built railway lines next to rivers, following the path of old roads which tended to be built next to rivers. So now there's pollution in rivers from train derailments.
