the tech revolution is military driven (in the modern world, american military driven) because that's the only area our society feel it's acceptable to spend R&D dollars on with almost zero accountability. internet, gps, digital photography, night vision: that's pretty much the modern world right there.

i'm happy to have lived in a time where things like antibiotics, electricity and our ability to use radio waves exists.
add onto that the internet...

we may live to see a breakthrough in life extension but even if we don't i feel that we have it pretty good in many ways.
life extension is the ultimate though.
