Trap Is Just Dumbed Down Gangsta Rap

A lot of gangsta rap actually came with deeper messages and you'd really be listening to someone who's torn by how negative the lifestyle is but at the same time is forced to live this way not only because he was nurtured by such a culture but he'll quickly become a victim of it if he's on some peace shyt all of a sudden. There's no sense of conflict in modern trap shyt because its all mindless and void of any soul or emotion. You'd think these nikkaz was created in some secret Rethuglican lab with the gross consumerism and low key conformist attitude.

Trap shyt at one point was just real live hustlers talkin bout their exploits in the drug game but now it's just caricatures of d-boys telling grandiose tales about how latin dictators owe them 100 favors or how they compare to vicious cartel leaders. shyt took Gucci's cartoony style and really made cartoons outta these nikkaz. Gangsta rap will always be the better of the two...

No it did not what? What am I hyping? I'm not sayin nikkaz wasn't out there movin packs but a lot of the shyt is way over exaggerated. Not to say the killin lots of gangsta rappers was talkin wasn't exaggerated but there were always those ones that really lived what they talked about and managed to put some messages in their music while still bringin that gangsta shyt.

Plus trap beats are repetitive. I mean yeah they crank or whateva but they all have a similar sound to them. Gangsta rap had all kinds of different beats and beat styles.
