Trap music, Gangsta Rap, samething. At least the essence of trap music. Although trap is a genre that is defined sonically, the essence of trap is that of drug-dealing in the inner city South. So although there are Trap Songs, that don't deal with "street" subject matter, and are more palatable for the masses, most trap(even the most popular danceable tracks and artist like Migos) still recycle the same subject matter as groups like NWA once did, but just in a different flow. Even danceable popular songs like Bad and Boujee are still agressive sonically. And lyric-wise. "Cooking up dope with an UZI, my nikkas are savage, ruthless"

I just found it funny how some ppl tried to separate the two, when trap just falls under the loosely defined "Gangsta Rap" family tree. They the same to me.
