they waste introspective instrumentals spitting BS....imagine if a real emcee hope on these and started pouring their heart out like pac, nas, buddens, hov

trappers need to stick to the club shyt

these are for emcees....thats why lyricism gotta come back.....hiphop is about struggle not poppin pills and drinking Tylenol

Being a trap rapper does not preclude you from introspection, man.

In fact, in lots of cases the introspective trap songs are the ones that hit you the most; there's a raw and gritty truth to them that a run of the mill conscious rapper can't reach. There's a lot more to the substance of their lyrics than just drug abuse. And, if that constitutes the majority of their content, it still shouldn't prevent them from hopping on an introspective instrumental because quite frankly, they probably have a story to tell.

I don't agree with this at all.

But wouldn't drug addiction be considered struggle?...
maybe for a small demographic......thats a self inflicted problem and rappers usually glorify their addiction not talk about the down side.....

im talking a bout a full length track about struggles that everybody can relate to...not just those of cats in the trap dreaming of escaping
