I've never been to the Hyatt. Sheraton on Canal is pretty nice. I would pass on the Double Tree. Also, not sure if you can get away with it but if you book the room on a hotel website you can get the government rate if you slick with it. I been using an old ID and been staying at the Ritz and Waldorf Astoria for about 154 a night. Supposedly it even works for out of state people too.

YESSS to Port of Call. Get the Catfish Acadiana from Stingray's. Don;t get the thin-fried catfish from NO Hamburger. and also get a bowl of @yakamein. There are food trucks parked on Canal now,also. What the yellow boy who opened WE DAT food truck? I never had them but I heard his wings are good.

I'm a town away, and go to N.O consistently enough and I'm still gonna hit her up next time I go out there with a group. She sounds like she knows her way all around the city

I guess pose is the word. If you go to the hotel website there is a place to click for special rates. If you click on the government rate it will give you all the hotels that accept it at that time. They say you should present an ID once you show up to book the room but I've never been asked to present one. Granted I am a government employee but they wouldn't know unless they ask me for ID. I'm in a hotel at least twice a month and have been doing this for several years. Not once has anyone asked to see an ID. Not sure if you wanna go that route because it may be some a$$hole asking to see it when you try to check in.

Last August I was chilling in the Ritz for 101 bucks a night. shyt was glorious.Still I can understand why you would be skeptical considering if someone ask it could go bad quickly

I went to Mother's while I was out there and wasn't impressed. Maybe I got the wrong thing. I did get there extremely early and by the time I left the line was around the block. So maybe I just picked something the cook wasn't good at.

Crawfish goes out of season around the July 4th. They get hard. Not saying that you won;t find any, but they won't be as good. You'll probably get farm-raised crawfish. Are you coming this month?
