no one is excusing his coaching situation. urban meyer set that franchise back but i'm not gonna praise lawrence or give him a pass for his past bad seasons when he's playing well against bottom of the barrel teams. if he can play well in the playoffs and next season then i'll give him his flowers. he was the #1 pick and got paid top QB money so he better produce....he threw for over 300 yards once this year....liam cohen is doing a good job not putting the game on his shoulders and that's helping lawrence to not turn the ball over.

everyone is so quick to praise mid QB performance that they give them the bag and set their franchise back 3-5 years if it fails.

I’m saying there’s a lot of mid qb play, or they bell out and get hurt. I’m going to let Trevor kill it in 2025. I’m not a Jags fan.. far from it. I’m just going to give him props this year. And a lot of quarterbacks are getting overpaid now… The position might actually be in trouble honestly. Bryce Young is the quarterback of the team I cover and it’s time to think about if he gets paid or not. He’s playing decent now but is he doing enough to get paid by Carolina. We will find out. I’ve been saying they need to put a quarterback on the bench who can challenge Bryce to show him he could be gone. I’d always pick that over straight getting rid of a quarterback because they aren’t playing up to your standards within a year or two. I don’t know if Trevor made the leap.. we will see. I’m just going to give him his props THIS YEAR. It’s funny how the season has gone because there was one time where Indy was going to run away with that division and Irsay’s daughter was all over tv.. funny how things change.

the only win that impressed me from that list is the 9ers and lawrence didn't do much to win that game. not something he should tip his hat on.

the texans from the start of the season to now are a different team and i would bet the texans beat the jags in a playoff matchup if they meet.

So there was nothing he could do to impress you, got it.. If you just want to continue blindly think Trevor is trash have at it

And we're even better from when we scored the most points on that defense that they've given up all year. We had no business losing that game but a loss is a loss. We took our foot off the gas before halftime in that game, lesson learned for coach

Is that not what a team and coach supposed to so? How are we judging these QBs when teams arent doing this?

IIRC The latter half of 2022 and first half of 2023 pre injury was really good also. Winning seasons in both. Liam is definitely helping him elevate past what Doug could do. Not bad for year 1

Yeah it was a hot term for a few years, but that was media driven. Something to help with ratings!

There are no generational players, or maybe one every 20 years. There are players who fall into good situations and get a team with a coach, system, and players that fit their abilities. There's no player too big or fast for the other players to compete with. THAT is a generational player!
