Yea I saw it a few years ago back on Netflix. I think I even mentioned it in the mind fukk movies thread along with Time Crimes and Primer. And the Triangle episode from the X-Flies was influenced by Alfred Hitchcock's Rope. I'm sure the director had influence from both.

I'm guessing because she isn't going back to the taxi, she keeps getting stuck in the time loop. Taxi represents death and she doesnt wanna move on.

I'm mad late but I peeped it. Dope flick that runs in the same vein as time crimes, coherent and primer as others said. Definitely recommend it and I'm surprised it hasn't been spoken of more.
the taxi driver is death and the chick is sisyphus, from the Greek legend. She made a promise that she would return, but she doesn't. By going on the ship she is doomed to repeat things forever. Side note I'm a big fan of causality loop films.
