a lotta that NASA shyt hastened the invention of the internet and satellites and all that. but yeah, actually going to the moon was :camby:

I was actually thinking about it and I think the significance of the moon landing is that it is a stepping stone towards future space exploration and potentially colonising other planets. It could be one of the most important events in human history and might ensure our survival as a species after Earth gets too fukked up for us to stay here.

That's crazy that they know MJ

Reminded me of a thread some breh was saying that Kanye was as big a superstar as MJ :mjlol::dead:

"When we go to war it is because a woman or child has been taken, the white man goes to war to take from the earth"
These tribesmen are the definition of conscious, they are aware of what is going on without even seeing it firsthand. Just let's you know the more civilization advances the more savage we become.

Most tribes has to learn how to live in harmony with nature, animals, and other tribes. Indeed you hear stories of tribes in Africa or in Asia or wherever you will see similar patterns. i haven't studied it but by reading here and there the "primitive tribes" all have very complex power structures, as well as relations with other tribes.

IMO Euros lost something when, because of living on the smallest continent struck with cold winters, they had to conquer their environment in order to survive as opposed to adapt to it ( = meaning, live in harmony with it), which is the gift and the curse. I firmly believe Euros have this fascination (even the racist ones) about what some call "primitive" people because deep down they regret/envy that harmony. Unfortunately the whole world is following that path.

:wow: these people have great wisdom even if they don't have technology

Wisdom is not correlated with technology, actually it might be the contrary. It's the western-centric idea (or dogma) of "progress" being "better" that makes us believe that more technology is better. Meanwhile we all have smartphones and homeless people out in the streets dying and shyt. Not much wisdom to that if you ask me :yeshrug:

Earth doesn't "get too fukked up", Earth is being fukked up by US, the humans.

The real wisdom would be to find ways to live here on Earth without destroying it.

Technology is essential for preserving and communicating wisdom though. I was thinking about how shyt like the printing press and the internet have been incredible for us in that regard. We can educate ourselves on anything so easily. These guys don't have that advantage and yet as you say they are more wise than most people who do have access to books and the internet.

I'm thinking it might be too far gone for that.

People take what we have for granted and shyt on the environment because they think it's going to be good forever.

i dont really see how we could colonize other planets, humans are gonna die off before we accomplish that imo

I hear you, but wisdom was/is preserved and transmitted without technology too. A lot of "modern" Westerners look at tribes and hear the tales and what not and find it cute/folkloric, but that's one way of preserving and transmitting wisdom. Dances and songs too.

I know it's not what you're saying, but I'm always extremely cautious about the whole "We need technology" thing, because it usually leads to "technology is inherently good" and "progress" is what is needed, and all of a sudden you have people who ae "evolved" (because they have technology) and others that are "backwards". Very slippery rope. When I see who is pushing that narrative and where it had led us, I'm always kind of :whoa:

Of course I myself use technology, but I'm aware of the drawbacks too much technology brings. And I'm aware that mankind developped complex thoughts, cultures, religions, habits, political organizations...way before technology.

I'm thinking it might be too far gone for that.

I don't know, but saying "it's too late" is the best way to wash our hands of the Earth and not even try. This is exactly a case where new technology is good in the sense that we can do tons of stuff with less environmental impact, and move away from oil, coal, etc...but in this case, said technology is not used enough.
