looking at cats like Josh Gordon, Kenny Britt, Manziel, Dez (he not really troubled but he's treated as such), how should teams/coaches/GMs/owners deal with them? how would ya'll deal with them? Let them roam free and hope they take it upon themselves to straighten their shyt up or put them with team security or what have it and keep an eye on them 24/7?

In the NFL, I say have some ex-player who threw his career away come in and talk to them.

That's really all you can do. You shouldnt have to babysit a grown ass man.

If they don't stop, one day they'll be the ex-player sitting on the other end talking to a younger player.

i think the league or team should help troubled players if they are accepting of the help now
but if they wanna continue on the destructive path they on, u gotta let them be

teams invest too much in these huge talents to give up on them initially

That's one way to look at it, and you're right, you shouldn't HAVE to... but if I'm investing tens of millions of dollars into somebody, I don't think I'd give them the leeway to fukk it up. You gotta remember that when a player fukks up, he's not just fukking it up for himself, he's usually fukking it up for his teammates and organization as well. :yeshrug:

And also, as far as the babysitting goes, MOST jobs are micromanaged. :yeshrug: It's just the way it is when you're running billion dollar industries.

Op should be more detailed. Its line between troubled as in they fucling up nonstop doing dumb shyt. Then you got the Josh Gordons who seem like it may be more mental/addiction.

The Josh Gordon types i can work with. Plain knicle head nikkas get the boot

I think you have to take it on a case by case situation. Josh Gordon clearly is on the border of having a drug problem if he can't shake the weed smoking and its a shame because he is arguably the most talent receiver in the league. But I think the NFL should play a part in attempting to rehab these players. I think that Aldon Smith is different as his behavior (and I'm not a psych expert) seems to be someone who suffers from some sort of bipolar condition.
