Jim wasn't really independent.

As a solo artist he was on Koch but he was obviously an executive at Warner and using their money and promotion for himself...and he wasn't really Gold. Cam clearly said Jim was at like 400 and not actual gold.

Look it up and you won't find a Gold certification.
