Yeah I know but what I mean by leftovers is reheating it in the oven the next day.

I think jerk chicken or chili/soup is better the next day after cooking and marinating more in the juice after.

Why?

because there's no seasoning/ingredients in the meat itself to "mingle" over time.

The only way it would taste better as a leftover is if you cook it yourself. And even then it's only because cooking yourself always dulls your sense of smell, so stuff will always taste "brighter" as leftovers.
