Those who didn't know Trump's position and are acting like this is surprising weren't paying attention period. He's been saying that fast tracking the vaccine is one of his greatest accomplishments. Why should he backtrack on that now?
And 'how the system works' is not hard to figure out. If it's pro corporation, pro-elite and wealthy and pro-removal of our rights. Why are people surprised that Trump backs a product that is making pharmaceuticals filthy rich and refuses to back up off of that position? Why are people surprised Joe Biden backed off of the student loan forgiveness position? Did you really think he was going to go against the banks?
I don't know how many times they need to play the SAME circus for people to get that these professional liars called politicians are not going to help you out. They got people believing they are part of the team that is going to save the world if you only vote for them, meanwhile they are laughing in the backrooms and working together.
Ah, ok. It’s slightly off on a tangent, but I understand what you are saying. I would prefer to only discuss Trump, MAGA, and vaccines, to be honest.
The reason that I had suggested that he would be prone to backtracking is covered in my earlier comment. His whole political ‘career’ is born of, and fuelled by, expediency. He is not generally a man of principle, so it would not be unreasonable that he would fold his position to suit his supporters, especially on such a read meat issue as this.
It appears, however, that personal ‘accomplishments’ that he sees from the vaccine program are far more important, and maybe he feels that he can bend the will of the base to his position that vaccines are good.
