CFOs are clutching their wallets more closely which is leading to a weak Q4 hiring season.

I have experienced this first hand. Been on 10 interviews this year with no results. Even for lateral moves. Anyone else feeling it? I'm assuming everything except for Tech, but even Tech should be moderately affected.

there is less firing going on too because employers feel that all the good people are already employed and they don't want to risk hiring someone worse. i remember when folks were getting fired left and right like

oh ok you think i can't replace your ass in this job market? now you have to try really hard to get fired.
