That's really what it boils down to. Lot of people don't give a shyt what he does politically. As long as he espouses their racist/sexist/nativist/etc views on a national platform with no consequences, they feel justified and like they're the majority or normal. That's really what the NFL tweets are about. He's just constantly showing his base he thinks exactly like them.
