Yep, this was obvious. She’s been vocal about being against the republicans’ position with the shutdown. She knows don is toxic and the republicans will get slaughtered in the midterms (which is why they’re trying to steal as many seats as possible now with gerrymandering so they don’t look “as bad”), so she’s been working to distance herself from the maga base. But don’t mistake it, she’s still a racist ugly broad. She just knows if she wants to keep her seat (if she’s up for reelection next year), distancing herself from don is the only way to go.

Even if some of the GOP want Trump out the paint I don't think anything happens even if he's heavily implicated in the Epstein files. Wealthy corporations have profited to obscene margins under his reign. They will protect him no matter what and then when 2028 rolls around they'll pretend like they never fukked with him. That's the game.
Let's not be naive.
You would never in a million years get Republicans in Congress to impeach Trump, regardless of what's in the Epstein Files or if Trump vetoes the release. They're way too scared of is voters - not only getting primaried, but would probably be in physical danger from angry MAGA voters.
Unfortunately the only way Trump is leaving is if his health fails before the end of his term.

You are not paying attention. Trump is a lame duck unpopular President to begin with and the Republicans are facing a bloodbath in the upcoming midterm elections n November 2026. The more stuff that comes out the more unpopular Trump will become. They will kick him out if he keeps sinking becausehe will take them with him, but what is more likely to happen is that they will force him to step down. It is not far fetched at all right now because his approval ratings are only in the mid to high 30% range and that is before we hear more stuff out of those files. It is also known thar Epstein video tapped stuff so that he could blackmail people. So we might be getting those R. Kelly type tape drops.

Republicans don't care about Trump's overall approval rating, that was never all that high in the first place.
They only care about how Republican voters feel about Trump, and Republican voters are still insanely loyal to Trump (and probably will be until he dies). Voting to do something like impeach Trump is a career ender for Republicans (ask Peter Meijer).
An unpopular President brings down the popularity of the entire party, which is why the Republicans are freaking out about the upcoming midterms. Trump's policies have screwed over his own base.
