Democrats flat out point blank WOULD NOT PASS A TAX BILL LIKE THIS. Ignore everything else about the two parties and just focus on this one thing, that directly impacts people and their lives and economic well being. And one side is objectively better for the common person than the other.

McCain voted against both Bush tax cuts. I can see him voting NO.

The odds are worse than, say, a week or two ago but I'd still put it at >50% just because of how desperate they are to pass something.

But I don't think it'll help the GOP politically since the plan isn't actually popular.
