I’m retrospect, big spending is a large part of what for Trump elected.
It’s shortsighted to believe the hundreds of millions the Koch Brothers and their affiliates spent trying to push the American electorate toward the right, undermine President Obama, and to relax state oversight on everything from environment to tax on the wealthy, didn’t have a massive effect on Trump’s campaign.

He picked up a populist nationalist rod that they’d already laid out for any of the GOP candidates, and he whacked everything within his reach with reckless abandon.

What does that even mean? Any REpublican candidate is going to have an army of millionaires and billionaires throwing money either at their campaign or against the democrats. Now, if you showed me that Republicans spent way less than democrats on that presidential campaign, that means something. We had candidates running who didn't even have real organizations behind them. They just had ONE billionaire bankrolling them
