Drug war is just a pretence. The real reason is a leader who's not playing ball and his country has vast untapped resources, not far from America.
If he was an American sycophant selling his country off cheap on the dollar to American corps, zero issues. China is making them scared as well, so they'll need as many resources as they can get.
Simple as that.
Regime change is just a hardball leader who's not playing ball with what we want. They don't give a shyt if millions die or the country blows up. Just like in the Mddle East.

Yep. The Vennies have the largest oil reserves. Larger than the Saudis yet the wealth of each nation is a hard comparison.
Guyana is cooked but at least they are using the money to build their infrastructure after being the poorest country in South America for the longest.
As horrible as Trump is, I hope people realize this is decision isn’t unique to him but the national security establishment is in support of this as well. Doesn’t matter if we had a Democrat in office or not, Maduro was going to get handled one way or another.
The world has entered into a multipolar era and it seems like our goal is to completely lock down the Western Hemisphere under US control.
