47% of African Americans were considered middle class as of 2021. 52% of White people were middle class at at same time. Roughly 50% of all Americans are middle class. Think about that for a moment. With the help of the government White people have had hundreds of years head start on Black people, yet in less than 60 years Black people have basically caught them. Yeah there's still a lot of poverty among African Americans, but for some reason people don't seem to realize that almost half of Black people are middle class and upper middle class.
