Bush 2 was overall bad, trump was specifically worse for black people.

And black people still haven't recovered from Reagan policies

I’m genuinely curious.. the article compares black women with the job increases that white women and Latin women are having then proceeds to include white men and their current job increases situation. Why did this article leave out black men??

Are black men worse or better off? My assumption (and I could be wrong) is that if black men were as down bad as black women with this current job market the article would make a reference to it?

1. You can talk about issues facing black women without the kneejerk whataboutism. It's annoying when women do it, this is no different.

2. These articles have a purpose in using the truth in that first point to separate black women from their men, and have black women thinking of themselves in comparison to everyone else...as opposed to working together with their men to move forward.

They are not going to acknowledge you just so you don't feel left out. Adjust, adapt, and move on.

i was using the same data source as the new york times to come up with that number (bls economic releases)

i ran the math on BW too to make sure the article wasn't capping, the stats presented there panned out so i didn't bother running them on ww/wm
That’s why this is bullshyt and probably intentional. It’s highlighting them for losing jobs and no one else lost jobs…. But you look at the data, do the math, and it shows that isn’t true. I use to work in PR and the easiest way to get a fake news story in the paper is feed the reporter the lie you want them to report with basically the entire article. So knowing that I am pretty sure the Trump Regime wants everyone (not just black people) to think their policies hurt black women not just the most (which is true) but also that it hurt them only. To me this is supposed to be to make their base feel good based on a lie, they don’t care what we think or if we live or die based on this article.

One of the things Trump loves to do (and I think he learned this from his mentor Roy Cohn who learned it from McCarthy) is to ask people “are you going to believe me, or your lying eyes”. A lot of times people will believe what they hear and not what they see because what they hear provides “context” which makes the lie seem more real. Everything we are seeing points to massive job losses for everyone, but Trump wants to paint it as massive job losses for black women only because the lie is only black women worked for the federal government. His racist/sexist base hates black women so this feeds into Trump’s narrative.

So how do we fight back?
Go back to school, and increase your education or switch industry’s (maybe a combination of both) when this is over be in a better position to make more money.

Don’t over flood the trade jobs either….. I still think that is a suckers bet, unless you get training in it to be highly skilled.

Federal employees already flooded state and municipal jobs. When Trump leaves whoever the democrat is who replaces him is going to likely do a massive hiring/infrastructure process to try and remedy the stagflation Trump is introducing into the market.
