Tupac Biopic Casts "The Wire" Actor Jamie Hector Aka Marlo Stanfield As Mutulu Shakur

"All Eyez On Me" fills another role.


Jamie Hector has been cast in the Tupac biopic, All Eyez On Me to play the role of Tupac's stepfather, Mutulu Shakur, Complex reports.


Hector starred in the HBO series The Wire as Marlo Stanfield. He has since appeared in The Strain and the Starz show Power, which is executive produced by 50 Cent.


Playing Afeni Shakur, Mutulu's wife and Tupac's mother, is Danai Gurira. She is known for her role as Michonne in The Walking Dead.


Other roles cast for All Eyez On Me include Jamal Woolard for The Notorious B.I.G., Dominic L. Santana for Suge Knight and Kat Graham for Jada Pinkett Smith.


Demetrius Shipp, Jr. is playing Tupac in the Benny Boom-directed film.

Good to see some established talent linking up with this film. People are trashing it already and yeah the process has been shady but it could turn out well. The music and story alone give them plenty to work with. Lots of good movies were messy to make.

I'm reserving judgement until we at least see a trailer.
