Name others, i don't i think can.
I suppose you could make an argument for Jay but I think Pac may be the only one because when you watch footage of fans and concerts, people cried tears for that man. Like he touched a lot of people and there was an introspectiveness in his music and a thoughtfulness that I don't get from Jay. Pac had no problem exposing his soul Jay doesn't really go there like that. I remember once someone compared Pac to James Dean and I think that says it all. For right or wrong reasons, Pac was so much bigger than the genre. Who besides Elvis do some fans still believe is alive and will come back one day? That's impact
I think Biggie is more like James Dean than Pac, Pac done a lot in his 25 years, Big and Dean are more alike due to them dying before really seeing their full potential.
Big had three albums, Dean had three movies, East of Eden is considered his best work amongst purists, just like how RTD is considered the best big album amongst hip-hop purists.
Rebel Without a Cause was what made James Dean a star, his most commercially successful film, Life After Death is big's most successful album. Both of them died shortly before they could see their second projects come out
Giant was Dean's third film but he did not get to finish it completely due to his death, same with Big's third album Born Again. Not to mention they both died at 24.
Touche. Well damn, I guess Pac would be similar to Hendrix then more so than James Dean. I never even thought of Will Smith like someone mentioned because for real, I think more people associate him with hollywood more than they ever associated him with Hip Hop, whether that's right or wrong.
