My boy has a 11 sec turbo maxima.
I f you get a 4th gen like he has and drop in a vq35de in it, is fast as shyt because it has the lightest curb weight of all the maxima gens. If you put a turbo or sc on it forget about it.

Well, the displacement of the two cars are almost the same. 3.5 liter vs. 3.6 liter
Weight of the Maxima is 3245 lbs. (looks like a fifth generation Maxima) and weight of the Porsche is 2906 lbs.
The VQ35DE is a normally-aspirated engine, so if he beat a Porsche that is lighter by 300-ish pounds, I am guessing he went with a dual turbo stage 2 or stage 3 set up. And, he might have a NOS injection kit that is triggered by a floor pedal switch when in WOT (wide open throttle).
I don't know why someone labeled it as JDM because he was in a left-hand drive Maxima.

That VQ is no slouch, and honestly, configuration-wise, F/F and R/R have almost the same handicaps. He obviously has a lot going on under the hood.
I would guess that the 996 is stock based on the outside, and this fukking Maxima is a defacto demo shoestring budget racer.
My comment on this is... I'm not burning up a 3K clutch on a 996T racing a fukking econo-box.

That maxima is nice, but it handles like shyt when compared to the Porsche. Plus i suspect that Porsche driver didn't know how to properly drive that bytch. A similar Porsche with a PDK trans will like whoop this souped up Maxima i think

My first car was a 4th gen.... I stupidly sold that too, I probably would have still had it to this day like 15 years later. Black on black leather 5 speed.... I was the king of the block
Im a little Civic nikka now but I have a special place in my heart for anything with a VQ in it. That gas mileage though
