No network in america would cosign this cause advertisers would run to the hills if you pitched this to them. Nobody wants to be associated with that. You may even violate FCC regulations with public use of schedule 1 drugs. You couldnt even put this on youtube for the same reason(demonitization) if you went independent.



Your only option would be to pray to jesus that netflix or tubi buys the idea from you and they handle distribution.


I suppose you do have the advantage of cheap produciton with the absense of writers, so your overhead would be low if you could afford the camera crew and salaries for a dozen people. If you picked random folks off the street to be your contestants, then your cast cost would only be 1800 per day and 300 a day for camera folks, but you’d go bnkrupt if you made it a multiweek event . Maybe film everything in a week, but have a different drug each day. You may get lucky with pre-editing costs of slightly more than 25k.
