I got my moms the 55 inch Westinghouse on black Friday
I set it up and it worked fine
I came back today and the volume is crazy low
I maxed out the volume on the TV and the cable box
It sounds like the volume is on 20
From like 20% to max the volume doesn't change when I put it up

New tvs have low sound to begin with, because they're so thin. You might have a defective unit or it could just be your tv. Google if anybody has the same problem.

I know they don't have loud sound to begin with but it sounded good when I first put it up. I came back 2 weeks later and it sounding low. I'm gonna have to investigate to find out the model #

Does that mean you swapped the HDMI cable with a new or known working one? Also check if your TV has any firmware updates. Those updates address issues like that.

Yeah, you might be still under the return policy from the store. If not, you probably have a year warranty with the manufacturer.

There's something else connected via HDMI
I took the cable out and tried that 1 which is plugged into a different input

Take it back or get a sound bar. I own several thin HDTV's and have never used the speakers on the actual TV. I have a separate sound bar and subwoofer connected to my sets. My next move is to get a decent receiver and surround sound set up for my main TV.
